It is easy to miss the option for the Country Kit on the 2012 Installation Routine

If you have installed the software and missed the Country Kit installation...

.. you don't have to uninstall/reinstall - just go to Control Panel, Add/Remove programs and select the "Add or Remove Features" option under Civil 3D 2012 as in the screenshots below.

Superelevation has been improving with every new release of the software..

- in Civil 3D 2012, the advancements have been huge with Axis of Roatation support for "real Super". To enhance this, the Austroads standards of the CK have been updated to the newer 2009 publication.

The Corridor Editing interface on 2012 has been vastly improved.

One of the major new features is the ability to design from the Cross Section View - this is enhanced in the 2012 ANZ CK with specific labels displaying relevant information on Codes, Slopes and Distances on the Cross Section View by default.
