The 2012 Certified Associate and Certified Professional program is now available for AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D (Imperial only), Revit Architecture, Inventor, Maya and 3ds Max.
To earn Autodesk Certification through AEC Systems Australia, you are required to pass an Autodesk certification exam, or a series of exams. The process is as follows:

Choose the certification that's right for you.
Certified Associate exam consists of 30 questions that assess your knowledge of the tools, features, and common tasks of softwares. Question types include multiple choice, matching, and point-and-click (hotspot). Time limit is 1 hour. Certified Professional exam is a performance-based test. The exam is comprised of 20 questions. Each question requires you to use the software to create or modify a data file, and then type your answer into an input box. The answer you enter will either be a text entry or a numeric value. Time limit is 90 minutes.

Assess your readiness.
After you’ve chosen the certification and learned what to expect on your exam, validate your readiness by taking an Autodesk proficiency or assessment exam. These examinations are online tests consisting of 40 to 50 questions that assess your knowledge of the tools, features, and common tasks in the specific Autodesk application. Assessment test is available for purchase at $25.00.

Get the training you need.

Apply your training and practice your skills.
Actual hands-on experience is a critical component in preparing for the exam. The exam is looking to measure how well you know how to perform tasks, not how well you memorise features and functions. Direct application of the skills learned cannot be substituted by training resources alone. You must spend time using the product and applying the skills learned. It is highly recommended that you have hands-on application of the software before taking the examination,100 hours for Associate and 400 hours for Professional.
