Webcasts for AEC Systems are a means of doing presentations without having to physically be in the same room. Essentially, you see the presenters screen and hear their voice (either by phone or voip) so it is the next best thing to being side by side.

Description:

We will be showcasing AutoCAD Plant 3D 2011 which includes AutoCAD 2011 and AutoCAD P&ID 2011. A typical workflow demo starting with P&ID to 3D pipe routing to Isometrics and Orthographics will be shown followed by Q&A. Key points illustrated in the demo will be;

  • Modification to existing P&IDs – Add a new pipeline, valves etc. and assign tag numbers
  • Preliminary MTO from P&ID such as valve list
  • Export data and reports to Excel, modify in Excel and import back the changes to P&ID with a review and approval mechanism
  • Modifications to pipe routing in 3D – bring the new pipe line and valves with all their data from P&ID to 3D using specification driven piping
  • Isometric creation of the newly routed pipe
  • Orthographics (layout drawing) of pipes, equipment and structure
  • Modeling of equipment and nozzles
  • Converting AutoCAD lines to pipe
  • Specs and catalog editor
