Session Detail - An Old Dog with New Tricks: Introducing NavisWorks, Revit, and 3DS Max into Westfield's construction planning division.

Co-presenter Gary Clark is a Construction Project Planner with Westfield Design & Construct, the construction division of Westfield Group. Westfield Group is the largest retail property group in the world; undertaking ownership, design, construction, asset management, property management, and leasing globally. Gary has 27 years construction experience, but no previous CAD experience before Revit. Gary has used Navisworks and Revit for 2 years. His production of 3D construction staging plans has significantly impacted construction planning; Project Managers are able to understand staging in days, not weeks. Navisworks has provided a direct model review platform for both design and construction teams. Errors and obstacles are identified and rectified during design development. Revit enables Gary to integrate construction phasing, adding cranes, hordings etc, enhancing Naviswork simulations, and more recently 3DS Max facilitates the production of sophisticated animations and construction sequences. Not bad for someone who can’t use CAD!
