We will be showcasing AutoCAD Plant 3D 2011 which includes AutoCAD 2011 and AutoCAD P&ID 2011. A typical workflow demo starting with P&ID to 3D pipe routing to Isometrics and Orthographics will be shown followed by Q&A. Key points illustrated in the demo will be;
Modification to existing P&IDs – Add a new pipeline, valves etc. and assign tag numbers
Preliminary MTO from P&ID such as valve list
Export data and reports to Excel, modify in Excel and import back the changes to P&ID with a review and approval mechanism
Modifications to pipe routing in 3D – bring the new pipe line and valves with all their data from P&ID to 3D using specification driven piping
Isometric creation of the newly routed pipe
Orthographics (layout drawing) of pipes, equipment and structure
